Congress leader and MLA from Badrinath assembly Shri Rajendra Bhandari has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Sunday. During the event, Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal, Uttarakhand CM Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, National General Secretary Shri Dushyant Gautam and BJP National Media Head Shri Anil Baluni were present.
Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal commended Shri Rajendra Bhandari for his efficient work style and dedication to serving his Badrinath constituency. Shri Goyal expressed that the way PM Shri Narendra Modi has worked across the country to eliminate corruption, protect heritage, and develop the nation has inspired Shri Rajendra Bhandari to join the BJP. Shri Piyush Goyal expressed optimism that Shri Bhandari will continue to work with the same determination and sense of service. Shri Goyal stated that under the leadership of CM Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, the BJP will win all 5 seats and ensure Phir ek baar Modi sarkar.
Uttarakhand CM Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted that Shri Rajendra Bhandari was inspired by the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, whose guidance has led to a series of developmental projects in Uttarakhand. Shri Dhami emphasized that Shri Bhandari's induction into the party sends a positive message to the state and will be instrumental in helping the party win all 5 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
BJP National Media Head Shri Anil Baluni welcomed Congress MLA Shri Rajendra Bhandari into the BJP. Shri Baluni highlighted that in the Garhwal Lok Sabha, there are 14 assembly seats, with 13 held by the BJP and 1 by the Congress. However, with Shri Rajendra Bhandari joining the BJP, the Congress is left with 0 seats.
Shri Rajendra Bhandari expressed his gratitude for announcing his decision to join the BJP. Shri Bhandari stated that he would dedicate himself to the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' envisioned by PM Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Rajendra Bhandari further expressed his gratitude to BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for welcoming him into the BJP family and helping him work towards the nation's development. Shri Bhandari pledged to work as a dedicated BJP Karyakarta and diligently contribute to public welfare and nation-building efforts. Shri Rajendra Bhandari expressed his joy at Shri Anil Baluni's candidature from Garhwal Lok Sabha and stated that Shri Baluni is a leader with a clean image and will surely win by a difference of lakhs of votes.
